How does Emily Blunt still get roles?

Anonymous
She was also good (in an action role) in Edge of Tomorrow with Tom Cruise. I really like her!

Emily Blunt is a classically trained British actor. People in the states are not used to this level of acting ability and prefer the Hollywood trained actors.

If you want to see the difference in acting, watch one scene of Mark Rylance acting with Tom Hanks in "Bridge of Spies." Tom Hanks is thought to be a good American actor. His ability shrinks compared to Rylance.

I think very poorly of people who start threads like these - what kind of idiot do you need to be to create a discussion for the sole purpose of dissing someone YOU HAVE NEVER EVEN MET? All these actors work really hard, and if you don't like their looks or their acting, somebody else does, otherwise they wouldn't be in such demand.

I actually like Emily Blunt a lot, even in not-so-great movies.

And I love, love, love Mark Rylance. Made Hanks look like an amateur.

The Devil Wears Prada was over ten years ago, and she had a small part.

This does not explain why big studios keep hemorrhaging money into her projects. They all bomb.

Plus, she really is unattractive. Fish face.

I think she's pretty.

There are thousands of classically trained British actors. Nothing special about Emily Blunt

Me too! I also love Emily Blunt. She's filled the space in my heart that Kate Winslet once held.

Should have added: it's a sequel. Not sure one was necessary.

The author of "Mary Poppins" actually wrote several books about the character and word is (in the above article and elsewhere) that the new film will use those books at least in part. So there's some background there for more stories with the same main character.

I love her.

Kate Winslet . . . barf. Is there a more overrated actress?

She is classically beautiful, by anybody's standards. Put the crack pipe down.

I like Kate Winslet. Leave her alone. I didn't think she deserved the praise she got for titanic, but I like most of her other movies.

The only actress I really do not understand is Kristen Stewart. She's so terrible.
