I am 35. I am also a cyclist. I groom a bit, and in the past have gone anywhere from bare to natural.

Yeah....anyway, had an absolutely horrendous experience involving a cyst that developed from the combo of lack of pubic hair and cycling. Never again! To each their own, but I also think not having pubic hair just looks kind of weird. Pubic hair to me is a nice visual "anchor" on the female form.

This is 9:30. To 9:45, that may be the case but just once go to the salon- ask for a landing strip and see what it does to your dh- I promise you- you will not be let down.

I'm 37 and have done full Brazilians but will only do partials now. I want the landing pad on top, plus most hair on my labia intact. I love having the "back" totally stripped and also love that it lasts for several weeks. she also tightens up (shortens) the hair left on the labia, landing pad and around my c=section scar. I must have pubic hair on my body-makes me feel feminine and sexy..but also love it very well groomed esp. for summer and good lovin-partial brazilians are the way to go for me.

So if you go in to ask for a partial brazilian, is that how you ask for it? Or what is the proper terminology for leaving the hair in the middle and the painful parts but trimming it down?

pp...tell them to "leave a landing strip". Be sure they "get the back" too. It requires you pulling your knees up to your chest dead bug style, but hey, they do this for a living and its not awkward for them.

To the poster who asked if anyone over 35 or 40 was doing it, the answer is yes, I am 40 (almost 41) and I've been doing it for 4 or so years now. I keep the landing strip. I like the clean feeling I have after doing it. You can buy this stuff called "No Scream Cream" to rub on about 1/2 hour before you go in to get waxed. It numbs the area. I forget sometimes and do it without it.

Sex is also much more sensitive. I love the added sensitivity. My husband doesn't care one way or the other.

Male here - my wife (aged 40) allows me to shave her once in a while. We both enjoy the smooth sensation, especially during oral. I usually reward her with an especially detailed tongue bath after I shave her. We usually leave a landing strip. I have caught my wife shaving herself in the shower, so I know she likes it. She says she doesnt want to look like a little girl, nor do I want her too. With less hair, everything down there just stands out so much more - it is visually very appealing. We guys like the way it looks and like to look. We had an outbreak of lice in the house once (darn kids!) and I took the excuse to shave each other down there completely and that really felt amazing. It is much easier to shave than you might think. Supposedly when men shave it makes them look bigger, and more men are doing it now, I hear.
