Ideas of a job where you work on only on Saturday and/or Sunday?

Some libraries have Sunday-only staff. For a long time I worked at a library all day Saturday plus a few hours on one weekday evening.

do you have any work skills or education that'd help guide this process?

if you are a writer or have other skills, you can pick up some freelance work - that's not strictly weekend work of course but you could make sure only to take on assignments with deadlines you could manage working on weekends.

Weekend nanny. I used to work for a wealthy family who needed a weekend nanny since their other nanny only worked M-F. They had 3 kids and 2 of them always seemed to have opposing sports/activities schedules. Sometimes I would take the older ones to their activities/playdates/birthday parties and sometimes their mom would. The little one was a mess if he didn't nap so we tried to avoid dragging him around everywhere. I made good money! Call a high end nanny agency.

I work a retail job weekends only and make about 28/hr (22 base plus a little commission.) Not all retail jobs are sucky pay.

Many people do this with hospital nursing.
However these are 12 hour shifts so you lose the whole weekend (you work 7am to 7pm and have to be there 30 min early and leave at least 30 minutes late so your actual time away from home (with lets say a 30 min commute) is something like 6am to 8pm). Your weekend becomes nothing but work and sleep.

I was a SAH mom who only worked Wednesday afternoons and Saturdays and it sucked. I missed an entire weekend day to hang out with my family. I work WOH FT now and will never work weekends again!
