Anyone taking Metroprolol/Toprol? What are your experiences?

I’m on it for SVT and arrhythmia. Just 12.5 mg (half a pill) once a day. It’s been about a year and I’ve had no side effects that I noticed, but the dose is extremely low.

I take 100g twice a day for my high blood pressure. It doesn't bother me at all. Being so affected by such a small dose seems more in your head than real.

I also began metoprolol this week to control SVT. I am only on half of the 25mg daily but already feel drugged, out of it for the last 3 days. I also get a headache while I am on it.

Interested in learning if these side affects will ease.

I had this kind of reaction and it was because it was lowering my blood pressure too much - like 70 over 90. My doc switched me to propanolol only on a rescue basis. I take 400mg of magnesium glycinate to help with SVT and have reduced caffeine.

70 over 90 is not possible.

ok so maybe it was 90 over 70? I know that it included those numbers in whatever order is possible.

I take 25mg of metoperlol everyday for SVT and Vtac. Works great. I do have a low heart rate (avg is 44 bpm) so sometimes feel sluggish.
