Is he 41 like you say in the title or 42 like in the post?
Either way, it's not worth your energy to think about; your opinion won't change what he's doing or how he feels about doing it.

Gee, Mrs. Kravitz, that's a lovely muumuu you're wearing.

I'm going to deviate from the majority and say, yes it's weird and off-putting to date someone only ten years older than your child. As a much younger woman, I went to coffee a few times with older guys and was horrified to realize that a man who would tell me how much I reminded him of his daughter thought we were on a date.

They are both adults.

I look at who I was at 22 and who I was at 41 - totally different brain and way of living.

I had lots of dating experience at 22. In fact, my dating experience at 41 was largely based on all of the dates that I went on before I was 22 (although there were a few after that). Then I met dh and he was the one, no more dates.

So my actual dating history was largely the same at 22 as it was at 41. The difference was perspective. My perspective on those relationships changed a great deal between 22 and 41 to the point that me dating a 22 year old as a 41 year old would have been an imbalance of power on my part.

Ha. Did you thank them for that cold bucket that they threw on you? Ugh.

Do you think is werid to date someone who was born when you're were and adult? His DD says she nice and funny. Do you think is strange to date someone so much older and or younger than you?

Who MIGHT be 22? You're wasting energy on something that isn't your business and even if you think it would be if true, you don't even know the lady's age...

Except that this hasn't happened here to OP's knowledge, you idiot. OP is even sure of this woman's age - she could be 32!

Anecdotal. Every relationship with an age difference isn't going to be like that.

He sounds awesome. Go him!

OP is lame.

I told my Ds to ask her how old daddy boyfriend is. The girl said she 22 years old. So she might be younger or older. But according to the girl she's 22

It's a 20 year age difference. The dude has been on the planet nearly twice as long as this young woman. Unless he has been kept bubble wrapped in a closet somewhere he has 20 years of experience in everything than this young lady has. Like it or not, that does make a difference.

He's probably having some smokin' sex.

Anger management? I was sharing a thematically related story.

No, you added a very important game-changer.

1. You actually asked your child to ask this impertinent question? First fail.
2. The neighbor's child might be wrong.
3. And even if it's all true, who cares? It's hard enough finding a partner, now you want to restrict the choice even more and make them fit into your very small box of acceptable criteria?
