Guess he is not a real republican. Trump/Cruz make up 82% of the party.

We never argue politics because I am a right wing bitter clinger gun owning one too.

Hate to "actually" you on this, but the bitter clingers Obama was referring to were Pennsylvania voters going for Hillary.

This is irrelevant. Our narcissist-in-chief was disdainfully referring to white, working class voters who believed in their rights to keep and bear arms and worship God as they saw fit. It's the glimpse into his worldview that was important and why traditionally inclined Americans have adopted the mantle of bitter clinger.

Not 50% of the country by any stretch. 38% overall. It is true that it is almost 50% of whites, and over 50% of white men. I guess that is what you mean by "country."

+1. Rubio was his guy and now he doesn't know if he can in good conscience vote.

Rubio was my guy too (as well as my DH’s). I will vote - but I WILL NOT vote for Hillary. I think she is the most dangerous of all.

My DH had some Republican tendencies when we met but I (with a lot of help from the presidency of George w. Bush) cured him of his misguidedness.

Yep. And -GASP- I'm one too! Technically I'm a conservative not a Republican but DH definitely is.

Republican is the daddy party. Democrat is the mommy party.

I was a registered Democrat then I married my husband. He brought me over from the dark side. We both like Kasich, so we really have no idea how we're going to vote (if at all) now.

Kasich is not a real Republican. He just hasn't realized it yet. The Cruz and Trump wings are what's left. I'm not naturally a Democrat, but it's been a long time since the Republicans had room for the Eisenhower wing. Basically since Nixon's southern strategy. Southern conservatives have always been the most toxic force in American politics.

I used to be, but two terms of George W. Bush and the travesty of Sarah Palin cured him. He voted for Obama twice, and is semi-reluctantly going to vote for Clinton since he finds Cruz and Trump repellent and extreme.

Ah, the frail male ego.

A man who's self-assured enough to vote for a women over a racist demagogue and a lying zealot is plenty man for me. He's not a big fan, but he knows the best choice when he sees one.
