Really? Older teens and adults have Easter baskets?
Wonder will never cease.

Sure! I'm 47 and my mom made one for me every year until my late 20s. Not only that, but I had to search the house for it- she always hid it. It's a great memory.

DH and I still make Easter baskets for each other too. Just candy and fun little things we know the other will enjoy.

Some of the things I have done

headphones
waterproof iPhone case
flip flops
lip gloss
itunes gift card
personalized stationary
a few good novels
pair of slip on Converse
sunglasses
elastic headbands and hairbands
things for their Spring/summer sports
A few things of their favorite candy

My kids are 17, 14 and 7 and they all love their Easter baskets. It is basically things I would eventually buy for them for Spring/Summer anyway.

They also still do an Easter egg hunt. Each egg has a few pieces of a 100-150 piece puzzle. The kids all work and put the puzzle together. Most times they end up missing pieces and have to go back outside and find the remaining eggs. My oldest already said she is coming home from college to help with the puzzle next year.

It is very healthy for teens to have traditions and still feel part of a family unit. My family was big into traditions and my husband's wasn't. He is now more into some of the traditions I passed down than I am.

My sister and I still get Easter baskets every year. It's totally unnecessary but I think our mom enjoys it even more than we do - she's retired and starts shopping for stuff weeks ahead. I get her good chocolate, which I enjoy shopping for and which she enjoys eating. It's never an added stress to us, we just enjoy finding great gifts for people we love.

Agree about traditions. My teens love being "kids" on holidays and birthdays and I know they will grow up to be fun parents too.

You're going to have to give us more of a search term than "rabbits"...

My kids get very little candy in their basket, and a couple of bigger items for spring/summer (often things they need/I might buy anyway). Things I have done:
Nice flip flops
A cute summer top
Bikini
Makeup (EOS lip balm eggs, mascara)
Lots of gum
Beach cover-up
Phone Case
Hairbrush
T-shirt

I think it's nice. A good way to learn what makes you happy before you go off to college.
