Who cares? Would never vote for because of her husband.

I care about the alcohol-related car crashes and needless killing of innocent people. Do you do alcohol and drive?

What part of I would never vote for her do you not understand? Has nothing to do with her position on anything.

Befuddling.

I would imagine that the desire to claim a Congressional seat stems from a need to compensate for Mr. Matthews' inability to do so.

I'm sorry, why is Mr. Matthews unable to "claim a Congressional seat?" Has he tried and failed?

This there anything interesting about her?

Not really... She is very light on the issues... She's a moneyed candidate and has the fame factor so that is whet she is getting lots of the support from the establishment. She will be a disaster if elected!!!

Kathleen Mathews needs to speak up on the bill that will be voted on TODAY in the MD House.

Where is she on this???

What's the deal?

I am sure both oppose drunk driving and support laws that punish them.

Next.

I haven't heard either one speak up about this issue, but they certainly should.

What part of "this is a state issue and they are running for federal office" do you not understand? Do you ask candidates for governor how they feel about Syria?

Sure. Why not?
Every single politician should speak up about this very important issue. Why not???

Kathleen and David T. have wonderful marketing skills. Now that could be a real empire.

Actually, the Syria issue is very important in some governor races as the states try to grapple with potential refugee resettlement

Yes, that to. Presumably they should be able to address multiple concerns.

Please show us where Trone has ever supported more effective consequences for intoxicated drivers. Thaow me whrnk you.

He has been in the private sector and hasn't made many political statements on this or other issues. I am quite sure he opposes drunk driving

Show where he has supported lax drunk driving standards.

This whole thread was started by a troll that is trying to drum up opposition to Trone with this foolishness. I guess he must be doing well in the polls if this is the best you have. BTW, I support him.

I don't think he's doing well at all.

I have a question, where is Matthews on Marriott moving their corporate HQ and the thousands of jobs out of the congressional district that she is running for (and potentially of the state of Maryland for that matter)? That is actually a very pressing matter that should be something a congressperson should be concerned about in their district but probably a little bit hard for her to explain being that she is former Senior VP for External Affairs for Marriott and all.

Has Marriott said definitely that they were going to move? I thought a lot of local sites were under consideration, but that might have all changed with the Starwood purchase.

Announced in March of last year that they will move to Metro accessible site in DMV area before lease is up in 2022. Matthews former job was about both the communications strategy for this announcement as well as likely communicated with other local governments to help negotiate the best deal on behalf of Marriott, which is the 4th largest employer in the county. If she becomes a congressperson, her primary job will be about delivering economic development to the her district. It surprises me that this issue has not been dogging her entire campaign.
