In a bind - Tampa trip spring break air done accommodations impossible

Not sure when your spring break is (mine is now). Does it have to be Tampa? Check out Dunedin on Airbnb. It's a super cute nearby town--I see lots of houses listed below $160 / night, like this one: https://www.airbnb.com/rooms/5914597?guests=3&s=Vb-xcNYk#_=_

Spring break at a FL beach? Good luck finding something last minute. Definitely try VRBo

When I looked last week, even VRBO was pretty limited or very expensive.

Fort Meyers/Estero island? Check for condos in bonita springs...it's not on the beach, but you can drive to Naples, Estero, etc.

There are tons of gulf course condo developments in the area that should be more reasonably priced.

This. You need to get off the water and you'll find something. Then just drive to a public beach.

Here's one in Winter Garden. Tons of cheap stuff comes up if you search Orlando (I just looked at the week of March 27 out of curiosity, not sure when your spring break actually is).

How far is Orlando from Tampa? There are tons of cheap options in Orlando. Our friends go to a suites resort called orange something.

Port st lucie has tons of condos, too.

You'll prob have to pay about 60 more per night.
St. Pete Beach, Sarasota, Clearwater area like maybe Indian Rocks?
VRBO, Sanibel, Captiva, try also Gasparilla Island, if you would like to do the Naples/Marco Island area and can't find anything try the Lely Resort area (it's warm, nice pools, golf, close drive to Everglades/10,000Islands/Marco/Naples/Bonita Springs
Bonta Springs area the Hyatt at Coconut Point is full but the Hyatt Place nearby has avail.
Manasota Key? No pool but quiet location near the beach https://www.vrbo.com/3945661ha and you don't want canal front with a toddler anyway

I like to split my time when I visit Tampa and explore more than one community
This place rents in Captiva but they only have one house left and its a bit more than what you quoted http://www.captiva-island.com/amrc/search.htm
