If you found a shopping bag in a parking lot...

I found a box of diapers in the under carriage of a shopping cart that was left in the shopping cart corral. I turned it in bc I figured a fellow sleep deprived mom would be back for it.

On the other hand,I was thinking "finders keepers, loses weepers", and like you it could've been great bc I don't have a lot of discretionary money either.

Lol, agreed. But unfortunately for OP, there are probably lots more people like me.

If it's any consolation, I have turned an i-phone and wallet before. I'm not a complete asshat

Something in my adult daughter's size I would have kept. Sorry, not sorry!

Dumb question, but have you unfolded the stroller to see if the bag maybe got caught up in the stroller?

You and PP totally suck but do appreciate your honesty.

Yeah I looked all over the car. I pulled over when I realized I didn't remember putting it in the car. Took out the stroller and tore my car apart to make sure.

I always turn stuff in. But not everyone does.

I found a $20 last week on the floor of Harris Teeter and nobody was around. I wasn't really sure what to do with that. I figured if I turned it in, they'd just keep it. I donated to charity instead. But actual items that could be described? Back to the customer service desk.

What if it belonged to a little old lady and it was all she had for food for the week?

I looked for someone. There was no one around. Better to go to charity than the customer service desk, IMO.

Yes, I've found things fallen on the floor as well as a bag in a parking lot. I've always turned them in.

Once I stupidly dropped a $100 bill on the floor of a dressing room. I went to lost and found fully expecting to be disappointed, to my surprise someone had actually turned it in.

Whoever took your bag was an ass, but there are good people in the world.
