Do people in your life know you are going through infertility treatments?

Anonymous
My parents and in-laws both knew and so did a close friend about our first IVF. After we were successful, I became much more open and basically tell anyone if it comes up in context. We are trying for #2 and have told people we are trying for #2 sometime "soon", but no specifics on FETs or cycling. I do not want people looking at me wondering whether there's good or bad news. I also have a serious complex about people feeling sorry for me so I tend to not share things until I have good news. I know this doesn't help the IF awareness cause.

But I've had so many insensitive comments regarding 'when are you going to have a kid?' etc etc - I wish people just realized we're f*ing trying, and it's not that simple. You get insensitive comments both ways. People just say things without thinking.
