Best classes/exercise to tone up

At my orange theory the cost is $99 for 8 sessions a month.

I've trained for years, and in my opinion, it is the best alternative to personal training for the price.

Their website doesn't have prices. Is there a standard price, or do they haggle and change the price?

I am a huge fan of Barre classes for toning up.

Body Pump is amazing. I do it Rock Creek Sports. Thinking about becoming an instructor.

Yoga, but only if you take it seriously. I'm a 40 year old woman in the best shape of my life, and all I do is yoga. It provides great strength training using your own body weight.

I agree with this, but if you want to tone up using a mindful yoga practice, it should go hand-in-hand with mindful eating. (Sorry for the buzzword!) I'm also in the best shape of my life at 36, doing a mostly-daily yoga practice and it's done wonders for my muscles. But the weight coming off (which helps show the muscles) is from eating better.

Can you go in other times and not have a "session"? Or that's it- you get to go twice a week and get your heart rate measured. Are there group classes?

I think it's pretty expensive. I know my local one is $69 for the basic level, which only includes one session per week. It is $129 for the "unlimited."

Seriously? It's $69 for ONE lesson?

I think the basic level is 4 sessions in a month.
