Definitely like Chip and Joanna more, but that's only because Tarek is such a tool. I do like Christina though. |
I can't stand Tarek and Christina on Flip or Flop. He's acts do surprised that the kitchen and bathroom have to be redone in an auctioned house and her voice is nasally and whiney. I like the down to earth of Joanna and chip |
She seems really sweet but beautiful don't think so. i think shes American Indian |
Christina is sooo fake and Tarek seems like a bit of a jerk. |
She's Korean, her mom has been on the show. |
I know an Indian and German couple. Their kids are GORGEOUS! |
I can't stand that she wears ten pounds of makeup and has beauty pageant hair for every scene. She's always overdone, half the time in stilettos, while he's in a t shirt and jeans. All this for a home show. Great modeling for their daughter. |
| She's typical Southern California. I used to think she looked ridiculous, too, but now I realize that's not out of the norm there. I like Tarek and Christina, though. I follow them on FB and they're much more relatable there. They're completely different than Chip and Joanna, yet both couples still show complete respect for each other. |
| I agree she is beautiful as are their kids. Here's to hybrid vigor! |
| She is attractive (as is he - I have a bit of a crush on him). I like her style in clothes and am envious of what seems like a big happy family and great marriage. However I do not like her decorating style too much. Too cutesy/pinteresty for me. |
It's TV. The Neelys on Food Network seemed the same way and their marriage was disintegrating behind the scenes and ended in a contentious divorce. |
ShipLap every single time ! |
I'm the poster you are quoting, and actually I don't really care for her specific style myself. Her vision of renovating though is amazing - removing walls, moving staircases, changing windows to doors, etc. That's what really impresses me. |
| I think she's pretty but agree that she's a one-trick pony, and I hate the schtick between her and her husband. I can't watch the show. |

Heather Teems asked: “Hi Jo Jo! Something I’ve always wondered when watching Fixer Upper- do the clients keep the furniture and everything in the home? You always stage it so well but usually ‘staging’ a home means that it goes once the new owner moves in. Just curious!” Hi Heather! It all depends on the client and their budget. Our show features real clients with real budgets. The furniture budget is not part of the renovation budget, it’s something some clients add at the end. About half of our clients already have all their own furnishings (some of which I use for the reveal), and others buy the items I decorate the home with. The main reason I decorate the rooms for the reveal is because I want the clients to get the full picture of how to maximize their newly renovated space.
