Cause of excessive facial hair on women?

"One of the most embarrassing things" ever? Really? It is pretty common-why do you think every nail salon has face wax prices posted?

Facial hair from PCOS is darker than peach fuzz, more like male beard hair texture.

thank you. ok, so the one dark hair on my chin would not put me in the PCOS range based on the peach fuzz on my face, correct? The excessive peach fuzz, at that. I understand you cannot tell me for sure if I have PCOS or not I I was told I do not, however I did mention earlier that I never completed the full testing on PCOS. The only thing I did not do with the ultrasound to show a string of pearls in the ovary. All of my hormones indicated no PCOS.

I always assumed that was for upper lip waxing. am I wrong?

I am definitely not obese. I am 5 foot 1, and I weigh 135 pounds. so, slightly healthy, but not overweight by any means. I have been told since I was a teenager that I was estrogen dominant. however, I do not know if that is still the case.

135at the height and age is moderately obese 86 percent of women at the age of 34 are below and 14 percent are above this value.

seriously, I'm really not here to challenge my weight. End of story. I actually have my measurements if I need to post them up here. just because some people think that you have to be skinny and not athletic does not mean that you are obese, or overweight I am a very healthy person. and I don't mean healthy as in a chubby way. I have nothing against it for what it's worth! This post was not about wait, & I can absolutely guarantee you my weight has nothing to do with why I posted my question. Nor, is it the problem or solution to my issue.I have read that there are many people on here who are absolutely obsessed with their weight. To each their own, I am comfortable with mine. & I have no complaints from my doctor, or anyone else and that matter.if you want me to brag I can put my measurements on here and be legit about it?

Uuuum, at 5' 1" you are overweight, though not obese. But back to the point. I'm 5'3", 115lbs, and have higher than normal testosterone for a woman. Excessive hair growth too.

seriously, you guys are obsessed with weight! ok, so we'll go with that. When I was 30 and I noticed my first and only dark hair on my chin I was very thin weighing only 105. with the implant I may add. I was not working out, so that was purely fat, water and bone ect.. maybe, just maybe I was wondering if I had lowered my estrogen by working out enough to cause this to happen? However, like I said I found my first and only dark hair on my chin when I was 30 not working out. But I was very thin. Therefore, maybe my estrogen was low and then as well?

That can't be right. I'm 5'1" and 105 pounds. I have peach fuzz. Ugh. Apparently my dad was "hairy" and honestly I am starting to see it now on my INFANT DD. Poor thing. It's gotta be genetic.

okay, so I just read the article and I am Italian. I have always had more than usual hair on my body all over just not my face. I guess that makes sense. Also, I am on birth control pills. according to the article the pills may be a factor? I'm thinking now that it may have more to do with my ethnicity. my mother started getting it but only after menopause. maybe it's genetic, and my ethnic background.

a C Cup. therefore, it puts me in a normal weight range based on my BMI that I had to recently have done for insurance at my doctor's office. with that being said, I'm still not sure which hormone is the culprit. The only thing I can find online areandrogens.

I'm sorry, I'm still hung up on the fact that, if I'm reading this correctly, you started out as a C cup and then tripled your breast size?

But to answer your question, it likely is some kind of hormonal imbalance. You can get that tested if you really want to, but as others have noted, some facial hair is very common.

yes, that is correct. It wasn't supposed to be that much of an increase it just happened that way.sadly stupidly I did it for all the wrong reasons and trust me I am already paying for it with my back. I don't recommend it to anyone.
