I left a trade a few years ago where that was the case - GC was making around 700, and the rest of the lawyers were anywhere from 175-350, depending on seniority, length of service, and experience. One of the reasons it's hard to ballpark trades generally, though, is it depends on the industry. If the association is competing with in-house jobs that pay well (financial services, for ex) they will pay more.
