| We shipped one from sucre last year and it was good, but not much better than bayou's IMO, so that's what we're doing this year! |
When do these come in? I never go to Whole Foods but would make a special trip... |
| Great harvest makes them |
| I saw them at Fresh Baguette the other day. |
| Mardi Gras is early this year, Feb. 9. Better get 'em early, and laissez les bon temps roller ! |
| I mean "rouler" |
| Walked by them at Wegmans yesterday. |
| Just saw them at Whole Foods this morning. |

Randazzo's is the best. We get one shipped to us from there every year, but this year they were sold out through Mardi Gras. We went with Gambino's as a substitute. It was pretty good, not great.
A friend sent us one from Sucre last year and we didn't like it. It was dry and just a completely different kind of animal. |
| Someone in my office got one from a French bakery and it was sooo good. No colored frosting on top--he lived in France and was totally unfamiliar with the Louisiana style king cake. |
+1. When I lived in DC (back in the south now), I always got them from Bayou Bakery. |
