If you shower at night, how do you make your hair look good in the morning?

This works for me and I have long loose curls.

NP. I always see to sleep with a high bun, but my hair is a crazy mess when I try that. Anyone that has had success with that method, any recommendations? I always showered in the morning pre-baby, trying to figure this showering at night thing out myself. So far a quick blow dry at night and then touch up with a flat iron to go straight or curling is working ok for me. I'd like to put less effort into it though

OP here. I tried sleeping in a high bun last night. I put in some smoothing and volumizing stuff, threw it up and went to bed.

It was NOT pretty this morning. It was still slightly damp, so I used the drier for a couple minutes and then straightened in a couple places. Not too bad, but I'm willing to try something else.

Maybe I'll air dry it down tonight and see how it goes in the morning...

I can't make my hair work from an evening shower unless I get it wet in the morning and restyle.

I usually shower around 8 PM, after the kids go to bed. So by the time I go to bed a few hours later, it isn't very wet. A good cut is really key. I just learned this at 37. It needs to be cut regularly and the shape worked on. I have a loose waves slightly below shoulderlength. So I shower around eight, blot dry with a towel, put in product, and sleep on what is by then dry or slightly damp. I flat iron the front in the morning.

I wet my hair again in the morning, then style as usual.

+1. I have straight, fine hair and dry shampoo or volumizing powder are my go-tos when I can't wash my hair in the AM. It's actually better that way for me, because I hate blowdrying my hair (I have a disability that makes it physically difficult) and will throw it up in a wet bun if I shower in the AM. Not a great look.

I take a shower around 8pm. Then it air dries. In the morning I blow dry the ends and straighten it. I then don't wash it for 2-3 nights. It looks great. I have dry hair and my day 2 hair looks the best. It also gets slight waves.

When I want it curly (I have curly hair), I rewet it the next morning with the shower attachment and then put mousse in it. Looks great.

Either way, I am out the door in 20 minutes in the morning. When I have to blow dry my hair the day off, my hair looks like straw. Just not as healthy.

I wash at night. I style it and make sure it's completely dried before going to bed... about 2 hours before bed. Expect that it will not be perfect in the morning and just need a few touch ups. I use large round brush to blow out the crown and the back of the head that get flattened. But sleeping on the hair makes it extra smooth and silky.

I air dry at night, some times free, some times in a braid, Then blow it straight in the AM.

I have hair like you. Try parting your wet hair as you normally do then twisting a large chunk of hair on either side of the part. Then twist what's left and make a low loose bun. Sleep with the bun.

do two side buns when you go to sleep (yes Priincess Leah style)...put in two bobby pins and gently undo in the morning. Should turn out great

I put in leave in conditioner and let it hang loose and air dry up until I go to bed. Then I brush it out and twist it up into a bun on the top of my head. It's usually dry and soft in the morning, and if not it can be blasted quickly with the dryer and just touch it up with an iron. The conditioner helps a lot with keeping away frizz and giving it a soft flow my look.

Add this to the list of things to be thankful about yourselves! There's no way I could shower at night but not in the morning. My straight, fine, short, oily hair looks like medusa after I sleep on it for the night. I would love to be able to pull it up in a bun too. And have waves. Sigh.

I have to shower In the morning and blow dry. I need it to wake up.

My daughter has hair like me... Long and thick. She used to always shower at night and go to sleep with it wet...either let down or in a low bun. We discovered through her hair salon that she was growing fungus on her scalp because of that. So gross!!!!! So if you have hair that is thick and does not air dry in a few hours, you shouldn't go to bed with it wet!
