Whenever I go into the new Safeway on Bradley, I am one of about 10 people in the store. How is it that it manages to stay open?? It is nicer than the Giant, but I find Safeway's prices to be higher, so I avoid it.
Right now, I'm getting everything I can at Costco. I'll run to the Arlington Rd Giant about every 10 days, but my total order is SO much less than it was before Costco opened. |
| The people who work in the deli section of the giant on Arlington road are some of the nastiest people ever. I have stopped shopping there as well and now go to the giant in Wheaton. Much nicer, bigger and the staff is nicer |

I overheard a discussion between 2 Arlington Rd. Giant Employees stocking the shelves a few months ago and they were worried about losing their jobs due to a reduced number of shoppers and agreed that things were going to get really bad when the new Harris Teeter opens.
We are frequently overcharged for items that are supposed to be on sale at the store. The sale prices are advertised in a sign but not entered into the computers for the week. When you notice the difference they tell you to go to customer service to be refunded the difference which adds another 15 minutes to the shopping trip. |
| Has anyone been to the new Safeway in Rockville that just opened? I live in Bethesda but wonder if it is worth shopping there. I really wish a Wegmans would open up close to Bethesda. |
| HT is about 3-4 months away said the manager at the Rockville HT |
| A wegmans in Bethesda, I'd feel like I'd died and gone to heaven. Will such a thing ever happened? Maybe the real estate is too expensive. |
