Best school for 4 year old gap year

OP what age will your child be on September 30, 2016?

If the answer is 3, then it is not a gap year, it is just the normal year before Prek.

If the answer is 4, then your child should enter PreK and will be among the oldest in the class

If the answer is 5, then your child should enter K and be among the oldest in the class.

If OTOH, the answer is 4 on Sept. 30 and turning 5 in October, but you plan to not send them to PreK, then are you planning to start preK the following year at 5 and have your child turn 6 in the first month of preK???? That is nuts. Your child will turn 15 at the beginning of 8th grade and get a drivers learning permit in middle school!!!!!

Our preschool has a Young 5s class for kids like this. St. Aidan's Day School in Alexandria/FFX cty. It's off GW Pkwy in the Fort Hunt area. If you are somewhere near Old Town, it wouldn't be that far. Great school!
