I agree, start with the sleep. Exercise is helpful, but you sound a little depressed, OP. I would make an appointment with a psychiatrist for anti-depressants. You could go through your GP, but the fact that they didn't go for this first gives me pause. You may want to find someone other than your DH to talk to a therapist/LCSW. Depression can definitely disrupt sleep. If you don't sleep, you don't perform at your best, fueling your depressed mood. In terms of improving the relationship with your kids, consider spending "time-in" with them. I'm taking a parenting class, and basically as little as 15 minutes (more if you can swing it) of just spending time with your kid doing what they want to do. It could be watching a TV show with them, playing video games, whatever they like to do. |
