Babysitter question

I don't get it. Of course have the babysitter help with baths. No big deal. Just go over it with her ahead of time.

OP here, I guess I should have been more specific in my original post: Both of my boys can bathe themselves for the most part but they just needs someone supervising to remind them to wash behind their ears, under their foreskin, between their toes, etc (all the spots boys that usually forget, they forget) as well as someone to help out with washing their hair. I just have no idea if they are so modest they won't want a woman that isn't their mom or doctor to see them naked. I also don't know if it's appropriate for a teenage girl to be supervising boys in the bath.

I babysat as a teen and supervised baths no big deal, but that was 15 years ago and parents were more relaxed. You said she's a very experienced sitter, so she's probably done this sort of thing beore I assume you know her parents you can go over it with them, but I doubt they'll have an issue with it.

As for your boys ask them if they would mind the sitter giving them a bath 5 and 7 is old enough.

I wouldn't worry so much about the details one night without scrubbing between their toes is not going to bring the apocalypse.

Forgot to add if your boys are a little more modest, but you think they still will need a bath they can wear their swim trunks.

OP- Let your boys take their bath on their own for one night and don't sweat the small stuff of where they wash....... problem solved. Sitter as said can be within earshot. She is a one night sitter not "their mother.'

When you're a kid like that, you either care about being naked in front of others, or you don't. And when you're that age, a teen babysitter is no different than an adult.

When you're a kid like that, you either care about being naked in front of others, or you don't. And when you're that age, a teen babysitter is no different than an adult.

True. I honestly doubt your kids will care, OP. If they do they can skip a bath for one night or they can do swim trunks, their little butts won't fall off from one night of not scrubbing up to your standards.

Yeah, don't put your sitter in a position where she is asked to remind them to wash under their foreskin.

What's wrong with her saying "hey, remember to do a careful job washing your private areas?" Honestly, at that age, I wouldn't have even found it overly awkward to simply remind kids that young to wash under their foreskin using the actual word. I certainly wouldn't have thought I was being put in "a position". But maybe I'm just oddly casual about such things.

Don't bother with this for one night. You just want the farm dirt/sweat/yuck off. Just let them shower, wash their hair and let the chips fall where they may. You can let them get a good soak and do all that the next day.
