Do you have exterior surveillance / camera?

It’s fine to have a security camera but if you’re doing it because of feeling fear, you should also go to therapy.

Another vote for Eufy, which has no subscription costs. Both a live view and the review of stored video can be done from anywhere you have Internet access. The cameras can alert when triggered by motion and can be a useful component in a layered approach to home security along with an alarm system, exterior lighting, reducing concealment opportunities around your property, using quality locks and door/window hardware, etc.

Hello, even though the topic is very old, the truth is I will give you two tips, you would have opened a new one, it is the first and the second, the truth is that you could look for a security system or camera set in a qualified store, in my case I have come to recommend AJAX, because they say that it is good but the truth is I am not sure that since I live in an apartment I do not have a garden, but you could go reviewing and quoting which is the one that best suits your needs.

We have Ring Cameras, four total to see the front, sides, and backyard. We love them. It has been good the one time there was an issue with crime (neighborhood was having car break ins) and good to know who is at the door (sales people, don't bother) or when deliveries happen. We have kids and a dog, so it is nice to be aware of the comings and goings. I can check what is going on from the office.

We’re in the process of setting up some Blink cameras because we own an older model Prius and suspect someone got spooked in the middle of trying to steal the catalytic converter. But so far all I’ve gotten on camera are the deer and fox that traverse our front yard at night. And the mail carrier during the daytime.

A camera will just show the event after it occurs if you're asleep and unable to notice any motion alert from the camera's motion sensor. If you can't park in a garage, you need a vehicle alarm system. There are also alarm systems to specifically detect catalytic converter tampering, too, e.g. https://www.fastguardalarms.com/pages/catalytic-converter-alarm

We have a Ring system- doorbell camera, three floodlights (both sides and backyard). They are connected to Alexa. We can view the videos on our echo devices or any device connected to a Firestick. We also can use the cameras to talk to anyone so we can ask Alexa to “show the backyard” and then we can tell the kids to come in for dinner (or some such thing). Ring service is ridiculously cheap. You can choose just to view/store videos or monitor. You can add keypads, motion detectors, all kinds or stuff depending on your needs. You can set the distance and sensitivity for your motion alerts. It doesn’t have to be set off by small animals or bugs, but you do have to play with it a bit.
