OP here. I was thinking Sheen, too, but not sure if he is really at the "acting genius" level.
In other versions of this article, DeCaprio, Ferrell, and RDJ are suggested in the comments. I don't know if Mickey Rourke qualifies as "middle aged" any more. He was born in 1952. (63 years old!) Depp... definitely an interesting one to consider. But my brain is fixated on Sheen. |

I don't think it's Sheen. If the diagnosis was last year and he was a hermit, then who was that? Who didn't work last year? Wasn't sheen working on a tv show?
I'm guessing Dicaprio...did he work last year? If so, he would have a movie out this year. Wasn't he with Barr for years and they broke up in 2014? |

Sounds like Colin Ferrell.
He's always been partying, but hasn't been seen out in a while. I also heard rumors he had something but it was always denied when it came up. No matter who it is, I hope they take care of themselves and stop fucking around. |
