Stanford versus one of the worst schools in the area? Nice try, GMU booster(s).

Interestingly she was rejected by VT

Definitely George Mason. Their Econ is ranked higher than Stanford. Plus it is cheaper.

The Econ department at GMU is bought and paid for by Koch Brothers.

Well, Stanford is also a Junior college.

Actually GMU had two Nobel Prize winning economists on their faculty. One recently died and the other now teaches at a small, unknown CA university.

The two Nobel prize winners were: James Buchanon 1986 and Vernon Smith 2002.

but I do not understand the scorn that is heaped on GMU here. "One of the worst schools in this area?" That's more than harsh.

Well, the first few were jokes, then you got the people who couldn't get the joke. Well done troll attempt; it pulled in a lot of folks.

Stanford is rife with sexism and immoral behavior these days. It is a very hostile environment for a female, and on in which males get bad moral lessons.

Your premise is wrong. There is no way GMU rivals UVA in prestige, no matter how many times you tell yourself that.

Also, being rejected by VT, which accepts 70% of their applicants, doesn't bode well for you.

Should note the rejectees from VT had much higher GPAs and SATs than acceptees to George Mason, Christopher Newport, ODU etc

This is a tough one. GMU is the proverbial rockstar these days in VA for instate students from DD's high school. Its engineering (Volgenau) now ranks higher than VT for example. In addition Fairfax Va is very comparable to Silicon Valley in terms of employment and HHI...
