From Roll Call:

Ok, so the Lois Lerner, aka Toby Miles, was an inept public employee. Her tax attorney law partner husband, Michael Miles must be oh, so proud of her stellar performance.
Shame on them both. |
Boehner and Ryan will waste more millions on this political bullshit.

Perhaps the simple truth would be less costly, no?
But if you can work the system, why not? Thanks, Toby. |
The DOJ report gives us the truth.
The new republican political witch hunt gives republicans another opportunity to look idiotic before the country. ![]() ![]() ![]() |
Ms Lerner is as "inept" as Hillary. Let's play the gender card. |
If you do this kind of thing (looking for scams), the entire thing made perfect sense -- if you're looking for people running scams trying to get themselves tax exempt, you look at newly-emerging issues that capture public attention. That is prime ground for scammers. Every major catastrophe and other world event leads to tons of unscrupulous people trying to cash in by preying on people who want to contribute to a cause by making fake or very, very suspect "charities".
So while it lead to "perceptions" as the report said, it really was just the IRS doing its job. |
But apparently not as inept as: the Benghazi select committee, and the current crop of republican candidates, and the republican "freedom" caucus, and the republican congressional leadership, and the list goes on and on... ![]() ![]() ![]() |
There should be a special committee to investigate republican ineptness and waste of resources. |
Not sure how you worked the gender card thing into this. |
You've never heard of the "modified limited hangout" before, eh? Standard damage control. Mistakes were made, but no individual did anything wrong. It's a cliche. |
Does anyone have a link to DOJ's letter to Congress? I'd like to read the source document. |
For republicans it is. |
ooh you used a fancy name, which obviously makes it true. |
Not only wasn't the IRS doing its job when it approved a bogus "charity" for Obama's half brother, but Ms Lerner personally approved it. Funny how that happens. |
