Flooding at my daughters college- FEMA has been called in

So sorry, OP. She will be fine. Hopefully she has a roommate or two and some friends nearby to commiserate with.
I would be worried too.
Just know that everyone there is in the same boat (no pun intended) and they will take care of each other.

To everyone else, thank you. I'm sure she will be ok. Lol one of my friends added to my worry list tho- Alligators.

She is on the 3rd floor and a sensible girl.

Whoa. Sorry, it's hard to believe you're actually laughing about alligators. You don't seem like the laughing type.

Thank goodness her apartment is on the 3rd floor! That was soooo lucky. Does she have any water in her apartment? Hopefully she has food and will be alright.

I'm sure no matter what this will be an adventure and she will remember it for the rest of her life. Probably fondly! v

Not the OP but why the hell are you here? You should've been getting ready for bed with the other 12 year olds.

Hang in there, OP. Everything will be okay.

What a bitch. I bet if your kid faced the same situation, you'd be worried too. It's unbelievable that no matter what someone writes on DCUM, someone will find a way to criticize. May your own kid drown in your bathttub.

Op here. The school is doing a fantastic job getting water and safe food to the students. They are sending out updates every few hours to parents. My daughter is confirming everything is manageable. Thanks again for the support. What I most needed was a sounding board. Y'all rock.

I am a worried mamma. Please send virtual hugs.

Just FYI, people from NC think UNC is the real Carolina.

This momma knows which Carolina is Carolina.

I WAS curious about which Carolina it was...
Glad your daughter is ok

I wouldn't be too worried as long as they have beer she will be fine. BTW there is only one Carolina. she goes to South Carolina.

she will be ok, will look back at it as a great exp some day.
