How do your kids get exercise on cold weekends if there's no sports they like?

We also spent both days this weekend at the indoor pool. HUGE success. They were bouncing off the walls because they had not been outside for days at school due to all the rain.

All great ideas, in a pinch, the wii can be useful / we only have games that require activity, sports and wii dance

We have to walk our dog so they are forced out even in bad weather and that helps.

If it's raining really hard they can go to the community center. There's also Pump It Up, Chuck E Cheese, walking around at a museum, the mall.....

ice skating
indoor pool
when desperate - walking around the mall

Swim lessons, martial arts, indoor climbing walls, trampoline/indoor gym places, skating, hiking. It's almost never too cold to go for a walk. That's why I buy warm coats and boots.

Bike ride to a playground that is a bit further away and back. Stop somewhere to warm up if need be. Or take them on a hike, to a park, to the Smithsonian where they can run around a bit.

My youngest is old enough now to follow the family on walks, mostly at Great Falls. In dry conditions, what they love to do is climb rocky facades on the trails. We didn't go last weekend though because not everyone was equipped with the right shoes for mud (looking at you, DH).

On days like this past weekend, we make the kids do sessions of Just Dance. DH and I join them.
