google classroom

Question for the technology experts. Both parents work and children come home from school and want to do homework, which requires access to google classroom. Our 6th grader will get on the computer and do anything but homework and we can't be there to look over his shoulder.

We have a Mac they use in the kitchen.

Is there any way to set up an account only for him that will only allow him to access google classroom only and no other internet sites.

I have the same problem. My son has Windows.

Yes. Look it up.

You all really need to get with the program and learn how to set up parental blocks on your computers. It is not that hard to do. Like it or not, technology is here.

Also, go to back to school night and ask questions and pay attention to find out how your teacher is using google classroom and the chromebooks at school.

If I tell you how to set up parental blocks but you don't know how to use a search engine then what's the point? I'm not kidding here. Your kid will do a work-around in minutes.

Know how to use search engine. Trying to figure how to set up so they don't find a work around, but, hey thanks for your helpful comment.

Hey, I was able to use a search engine to find this helpful instruction - wanted to share with you.

Hey! Grow a pair and parent your kids. Or is it too late and they run the house? Perhaps you are too busy for a 6TH GRADER? WTF?

We got communications from the teacher about it for 3rd grade last year. This year in fourth there is a big handout with something we had to sign at the end. Make sure you're not missing forms that came home - we felt pretty informed about the gmail and the chromebooks. Good luck!

Where can I find the teacher's feedback and grades for my DD's homework? My DD is in the 4th grade and she is not sure where she can get teachers feedback for her.

When we were in 4th grade we received all assignments back on Wed in something called the Wed folder, which we had to sign.

Did you have BTSN already? If not, email the teacher. This is the second week of school. You can't wait for an answer from DCUM.
