How often do you get new shoes for, say, a 2 year old

I just went to stride rite today for sneakers and brown leather shoes for 2 year old DS. The last time I went was in the spring, for sneakers and sandals. I'm planning to go back in late October for boots, but then probably won't go again until spring, for new sneakers and sandals.
