| $300 per month per child, ages 3 and 5. HHI$200k. Childcare $1300 |
| HHI $180k. We used to save $250/pp per child. Once our older child had $50k we stopped saving for her and increased DSs contribution to $375/pp. We shifted the difference to savings that can be used for college or retirement. We also max 2 TSPs. Childcare costs just went down as both kids are now in school. |
| $1800/month tuition, $300/month to 529, sub 100K salary. Not paying for housing at the time, however. |

$250 k income
2 kids, 3.5. I put in $900 a month. DH recently started putting in $200 a month We were paying an au pair, then babysitters, then preschool. But now we are in DCPS, so those costs have largely gone away. |

$8000 into 2 529s for 2 kids each year.
At the moment we have no childcare expenses, but once I got back to work after maternity leave we will spend $2300 a month between infant care and before/aftercare for our school-age child. HHI is $225k. |

HHI 250k
Two kids in kindergarten. child care is $600/mo for aftercare plus about $5k/year for summer camps. We put $1,000 per month per kid in 529. Also max 2 401ks. |
| 1k a month per kid (we have three). Childcare costs are low bc I sah but I do have a sitter twice a week for a total of six hours = 72/week. |
Sorry forgot HHI. It varies due to bonuses but is typically between 400-650k. |

HHI: $160k
Childcare: $1600/month for two kids We do not save for college from our paychecks. We aren't even maxing out our retirement yet so I won't even contemplate college savings right now. But my parents have contributed $20k for each kid so far and will likely add more each year. MIL also has a 529 established for the kids but I don't know how much is in it. FWIW - my financial advisor said we'd have to contribute $400/month to 529s if we wanted enough to cover college costs when the kids were 18. Number was based on current rate of inflation for college tuition. |

HHI is $240K
Childcare for two (one nanny/one in preschool) is $4K but ending next summer when older DD is in public school- yay! College savings- one grandparent puts in $8K a year for each. We put in nothing for college, hoping grandparent donation is enough. Mortgage is 3.5K Not saving - paying of $20K credit card for in vitro. |
| $8000 a year for one 6 year old (we live in DC). We spend about $1000 a month on an after school babysitter. HHI about 300,000. |

HHI is $240K
Childcare is $3150 a month for 2 kids. We put $650 a month into 529s between the 2 kids. Not as much as I'd like, but we have some ongoing medical/therapy expenses that are eating up a ton of money. We usually add $500-1000 of gifts the kids each get each year too. Next year our older child will start public school, so hopefully we can redirect some of that money. |
