I wonder what's going to be next. Funnel cake?

I want it to be pie!

I think they're very different kinds of donuts. Sugar Shack's are more light and "dissolve/melt in your mouth," while Duck Donuts are more dense and cake-like.

That is already happening (dangerously delicious, pie sisters, etc)

Milennials would tell you that they have perfected pie and we weren't doing it right before. Thanks, guys! First bacon, then small-batch beer, now pies! How would I ever know about these things without you guys creating them??????

My kids love Duck Donuts. They actually just ate them last week at the beach. I had no idea they were available in Va.

My favorite are actually the plain ones.

I'm actually not excited that a new one is opening near my house. They are a summer ritual for us when we go to the beach. It was special to go to Duck and buy them. Take away the vacation treat aspect and its just a calorie bomb that I don't need...

OK, I had to google it. I actually like the idea of made-to-order donuts. I hate promising my son a special treat and then having his favorite be gone (or worse, be taken by the perosn in front of us). But is the only option a vanilla donut with topping? If I am going to drag my fat lazy butt out of the house, its going to be for a chocolate donut

We only get plain or cinnamon sugar. Yum. The glazes don't appeal to me at all - they look and taste artificial.

They are all vanilla cake but there are chocolatey toppings. The "almond joy" is so good. Cake donut with chocolate glaze, coconut and nuts.

You. are. a. broken. record. Your Millennial hate is so tiresome.

Separately, pie sucks. In lieu of endless poor iterations of the same faddish foods, I would settle for one or two good places.

Sorry to hear that, but I love cake donuts and not a Krispy Creme fan. Hopefully we can still live in peace and harmony. I mean, at least until we discuss breastfeeding or screen time

I had the cinnamon sugar Duck Donut and can't get it out of my mind, it was incredible.... I wish I had never had one because I know I won't be able to resist having more. (and I'm not even a fan of sweets and don't care for Krispy Creme)
