Is there a bug going around causing just aches and fever?

OMG, the SINUS headache - YES! Low grade fever which lasted 2 days, head cold but this time my sinuses feel so inflamed!

My one 4 yo twin had a fever (101.9) for 36 hours last week, only partially controlled by Tylenol (we had to do some cold towel baths at times between doses). His twin caught it yesterday and it at home today (had a 101.5 this morning before Tylenol). Extremely lethargic and fever were the only two symptoms.

What is with the anxiety with this sickness? I've had anxiety forever and am on meds but this really threw me and I'm still recovering from that aspect, though I feel better physically (fever for 3 days, aches and sore throat/headache).

Anonymous wrote:Is this similar? My 3.5 year old son threw up in the middle of the night last Tuesday night. No fever. A little congested by Friday. Then seemed fine, until Saturday night -- 101.5 fever. Fine again until Sunday night -- complained about stomach ache and kept saying he was going to throw up, but nothing happened, but he was crying and clearly his stomach felt bad. (Complicating matters, he gets constipated and hadn't pooped for 3 days. Fixed that, but some of this could be from that). He is complaining of a sore throat, too. Today, Monday, he acts fine one minute, then says his tummy hurts and has to lie down (not normal). No fever. No vomit. No diarrhea. His color looks fine and hes drinking water and crackers, but just off! So hard to figure out where and how it really hurts and he keeps changing his answers. will ho to doctor if not resolved soon but hoping it's just a weird bug that is lingering. Familiar???

My 3.5 YO DS has had a 102 fever for the past day and a half. He goes from playing one minute to pitiful the next minute. He complains that his stomach hurts, but hasn't thrown up or anything. Staying hydrated (whew!) but eating a bit less than normal. I took him for a strep test yesterday but it was negative; the pediatrician said to bring him in if his fever isn't gone in three days. Very odd. Anybody else with this?

Yep, it's going around. Hit 3 out of the 4 members of our family.
