My pat bye let my uncle move in for a bit. He wasa slacker and slept all day, didn't pay rent or buy groceries or help out in any way.
My sister and I stopped going over.
Finally, my dad had enough. He told him to get out by x date. Of course he didn't. So, my mom moved him SC and got him get up on Medicaid and living in a safe but cheap $400/month apartment.

I had to facilitate living arrangements for my mom after almost two years of her living with us. She had social security, though - not sure how this gets done without any income.
