Shady grove may let you find out but they won't let you pick unless it is a genetic issue. Just went through this (my reason for needing to know was a gender linked disorder.)

Just my assessment of how the dynamics between them will work. I think another boy would be a more harmonious setup.

Back to PP question. Has anyone moved their frozen embryos from SG for gender selection and how does that work?

I haven't done it, but I imagine it's just a logistical issue and you certainly won't be the first person to ask SG to do it. No need to give a reason. I'm sure people do it because they move out of the area, just want to change clinics, etc.

So select where you want the frozen embies to go. Call and ask them the process on their end. Call SG. Ask them the process on their end. Execute.

I’ve been at DF and CCRM and never had an issue with gender selection. Maybe it would have been different if the embryo qualities were vastly different but the doctors always asked us our preference.

Beware of the PP who resurrected this thread. She's posted on a couple of boards tonight. She isn't pursuing IVF due to infertility...from her posts on other boards, sounds like she is planning on aborting her current pregnancy specifically to pursue gender selection.

Please, PP, just STOP. The fact that you are resurrecting this thread on the INFERTILITY forum is highly offensive and upsetting. You are currently pregnant with your 3rd son that you are considering aborting because you want a girl. People in this forum desperately want children and need medical intervention just to conceive. Stop resurrecting old threads wherever you can find them. Go to sleep. Call fertility clinics in the morning and just ask if they do gender selection. I would also consider scheduling a therapy appointment. The long term emotional and mental ramifications of what you are considering are huge. And you do not know what you’re going to get on the other side of all of this. Gender disappointment is very, very real. You need to think through your decisions carefully.
