What is your daily caffeine intake?

Zero. Gave it up in all forms years ago. At the height of my addiction I would drink coffee all day until 3 in the afternoon then quit. Have one diet coke per day.

I used to love the taste of coffee. Now I can hardly stand the smell. I no longer drink any soda.

Yes, my life is S L O W.

Biggest setting on the keurig. Filled a 20 ounce cup over ice. That's my morning shot. No more the rest of the day. Anything past 3 or so will keep me up.

I do not have problems with caffeine and sleep. Probably because I used to drink 2 pots of coffee a day in grad school.

1 cup of Lipton tea or 1 iced coffee per workday. Maybe an extra Coke or something on the weekend if I'm out and about with DD and get tired.

To me, it is terrifying to drink 8 cups of coffee. I get panic and anxiety when I drink too much caffeine.

1 pretty big cup of coffee home brewed in the morning. Then, depending how I am feeling I may have an afternoon cup of coffee that is half decaf, half regular from our office machine or might have an iced tea in the afternoon instead.

1-2 coffees during the day in the summer. 3-8 coffees per day during the school year, some of which will be double espressos (!).

One cup of green tea per day.

Op again. This is interesting, I am hypothyroid so maybe that is what causes the inconsistency?

Two cups every morning before 10am. I crave a third daily, but three cups gives me palpitations and makes me dizzy. I cannot drink caffeine after 2pm or I can't sleep at night.

One 12 ounce cup in the morning, and that's it. I could drink it all day, but it really messes with my pocketbook and my appetite.

One large (10-12 oz) upon rude awakening @ 6 am
A second similar before 10 am.

50% of the time a smaller (6-8 oz) early afternoon. But once its 4 pm, I don't drink it because it will keep me up. (Reading this thread made me want a coffee, wish I had read it earlier).

But a lot for me is considered a little for others-- and I haven't really figured out the right amount for me (I think it varies depending on various factors--trust me I don't wish to be this complicated).

So just out of pure curiosity--how much do you usually consume?

Latte or chai in the morning. About once a week I'll have a cappuccino in the evening. (doesn't keep me from sleep) I don't drink soda, once in a while I'll have a rum and ginger and honestly I have no idea if ginger ale has caffeine in it.

Based on this week (visiting relatives) 2-3 Keurig pods worth, though will purposefully drink half-car in order to get more cups. I just love a cup of coffee in hand. At home will generally have 2-3 large mugs of half caf (husbands preference - I brew regular when alone) and often an ice tea or diet soda in the afternoon.

As for effect, I find it varies with drink type. Coffee and iced tea seem ok but a diet dr pepper in the afternoon will keep me awake. Not sure what alters the caffeines effect but something does.

I have iced coffee in the morning before work (pretty weak), then tea mid-morning and maybe again early in the afternoon. I can't have caffeine after 2-3 pm or it keeps me up.

2 cups of black tea
