I had a colonoscopy and endoscopy done several years ago by Dr. Hurley and it was a good experience. He has a friendly bedside manner. |
Just wondering if the diagnosis for you and other PP was marijuana hyperemesis syndrome, which she seems overly fond of even though by all accounts it is very rare and the studies are not really very solid. |
| To the PP about Dr. Hurley and his practice. I am going to see Dr Hally in the same practice - do you know if he is good with a good bedside manner. |
| Ask if the doctor has ever perfed a colon. If so, don't go to him. |
No. In my case the lab came back with something that should have made no sense to her on the face of it but she accepted it and then couldn't explain it and was thinking out loud that it might be the result of some kind of malignancy. Ordinarily that would have freaked me out but it just didn't make sense in this situation. When I pointed that out she said "yeah, I think you're probably right." (Um . . . I'm not the doctor here.) Then when I asked what was going on she shrugged. I don't mean mean metaphorically, I mean she shrugged. Went for another opinion and doctor knew within 30 seconds that the previous lab had screwed up. And also correctly diagnosed the larger issue, pretty quickly as well. But now I'll have to google maijuana hyperemesis syndrome. |

To PP - who was the GI that you went to that knew in 30 seconds? Sounds like a good GI - if you recommend, might go there instead of Dr Kirk.
