Wisdom Tooth Erupting

Anonymous
I never had mine out. They came in in my mid teens and fit just fine. Dentist said it would be foolish to take out teeth that came in with no problems. I finally had to have one out in my forties because of a food trap that led to a cavity, and my dentist said they don't really treat wisdom teeth, just pull them. Still have my other three.

My top two wisdom teeth came in when I was 27. In no way does it require an emergency trip to the dentist or a mandatory extraction. I was told I may have problems because they don't have opposing teeth on the bottom but 20 years later they are still there with no problems. I use one of those tuft-end toothbrushes to clean around them.

Same thing happened to me, but I was 51 when the bad one was pulled. My DH also has his wisdom teeth.

You can't get them taken out if they don't erupt.

So not true. It just means they are impacted.

Go to your dentist.

Wisdom teeth were for when our jaws were much larger (think caveman days). In todays world, they are useless and our jaws are smaller than when they once were. This causes wisdom teeth to grow into a very tight space. Often times there may be no pain or trouble now but eventually, there will be. Wisdom teeth grow in crooked, a toothbrush cant properly brush back there causing decay, the roots are so big that they grow into the jaw or inter twine with the existing roots. Much easier and safer to get them all taken out(be it causing trouble or not), as a teen.

OP, see a dentist.

I am a dentist and I have no idea what this even means. The roots grow into the jaw? Last time I checked, the roots of all of the teeth grow into the jaw. That's pretty much how it works. This made me laugh.

What the hell? There are still people either living under rocks or legitimately dumb enough to not realize this?

I suggest you start with Google to help you assimilate society.
