Those aren't as clean as you think they are. |
| Don't have one. I rinse lettuce in the strainer, shake it out, then blot dry with one paper towel. That's always just fine. I've housesat at my sister's house, and she has one. I've used hers. It doesn't make my salads taste any better. |
| Need! |
| I used to use one but got out of the habit. Since we eat greens every day, I rinse them in the morning while the coffee is brewing and let them drain on the drainboard. Then I put them in the refrigerator in a ziplock that I leave "unzippped". By the time I need them for dinner they are pretty much dry and crunchy, and I don't have to wash the spinner. (I reuse the ziplocks so it's not totally wasteful). |
| Yes, could not live without it. |
| I make individual salads every evening for dinner. I have never owned a salad spinner and I really can't say that I need one now. |
| Yes. We use it daily. I think the savings in paper towels is worth the cost. |

I hate kitchen gadgets. I bought one as a gift but ended up gifting something else and forgetting to return it. We use it all the time.
We wash all greens, bagged or not. Saves so many paper towels/kitchen towels. We have the OXO brand. |
| I have a salad spinner. It is a 'want'. I just wash the lettuce and put it straight up in a colander. It takes 5-10 min for water to go down. I then just take a bunch a wave them for any remaining drops at the bottom to go down. Same for lots of greens. Don't use paper towels and don't eat soggy salads either. |
| I have a salad spinner, and we use it almost daily, especially in the warmer months. We eat a lot of salad and greens and raw cabbage. These days I'm also using it a lot to spin basil dry for making pesto. |
| If you don't like washing greens and waiting for it to dry, it's a good buy. It spins and spins until it dries. Great! Kid loves helping in the kitchen that way. It's like a toy to him. Press and spin. |

We eat salad most days. So did my family growing up. I have never not owned a salad spinner and can't imagine burning through paper towels (or even just the added laundry if you use cloth) every time you prep salad. I also don't like my salad still wet with water.
Bagged/box lettuce is not as clean as you think it is, and if you never buy real heads of lettuce when they're in season, complete with dirt and sand, you're missing out. |
| Not a need, but definitely useful. We eat a lot of spinach and fresh herbs. |
Agreed. I didn't register for it and didn't really want it, but I use it about once a week just on herbs. |
| We eat salad every night so I use it frequently. Used to buy bagged lettuce but then realized I could save a lot of money buying romaine hearts instead. |
