| YMCA Alexandria has a lot of options for 4-7 years olds, I just signed my two DD up for the last 3 weeks of August. This is our first year attending. |

Just as an option:
I am opening an in-home daycare in the fall, but in the meantime I am looking for fun ways to pass the time away with my 4 year-old son (my only child), including playtime with other kids his age. I am with him full-time until he starts school 3 mornings/wk in the fall. I am mainly interested in helping him and potentially another child/other children have fun in enriching ways - money is not my main priority. I can provide an atmosphere full of fun and learning at a very affordable cost, definitely more inexpensive than camp. I can be contacted at ramju76@yahoo.com

DPR just opened a "Little Engineers" (ages 3-5) camp and "Fun with Engineering" (ages 6-13) camp for next week (8/17-8/21) at 5 locations. I think Turkey Thicket is already full for both, but Banneker and 3 other sites also will be running them. Apparently it's not run by the regular DPR staff (the Turkey Thicket staff themselves told me other people will be coming in to run that week), probably because of the engineering focus.
I don't know more than that, but if you're interested you should call DPR Summer Camp program. I'd guess Banneker will be next one to fill up (they renovated the space, it's nice!). |

| Yay! Thanks so much for the DPR link! as we just realized this evening our drop in camp isn't open next week. It was almost a disaster! |
