He doesn't pay he travel expenses. It doesn't work like that when you are VP. They own a $3mil house in Delaware. Seems like this information is way off. She doesn't have a retirement plan at all?

I'm surprised by these posts. I though the majority of people really, really disliked Biden. He's not likeable and makes bad gaffes every where he goes.

His net worth is low because running for election is very expensive, the pay is mediocre, you normally have to support 2 houses (DC and home state) and a lot is required of elected official. Not a winning combo. Lots of congressmen are sleeping in their offices since they can't afford apartments here.

They are probably hiding the network in her name, so he can relate to the working class.

Wait, lets hear how Uncle Joe took Amtrak home every single night to Delaware. Whereas evening fundraisers can go one past ten, and morning breakfasts start at 8:00. Sure, he took the train home every night.

God we're a land of sheep.

Important Note: the net worth figures don't include the value of his principal residences. Still may not be high, but it's an important footnote.

I like Biden. I think he seems like a really great person. But he doesn't seem like presidential material to me. I also would be very hesitant to vote for a candidate I thought was likely to lose against the Republicans.

I'd happily invite him to dinner, or let him babysit my kid though.

Exactly. His low income relative to other politicians has been reported for years, but they never mention his house value. Also, how OP gets her figures is a mystery to me because she provides no link.

Not the op but here is a link that gives both the president and Biden's but not in detail.

Why would it not be included? Most estimates of net worth include property less mortgage. Maybe he's underwater on it.

read the link I posted above....among other loans mention a million dollar mortgage he refi'd.

Frankly...if he can get on the speaking circuit and make some big bucks or get a book deal...he apparently could use it.

Maybe he can get a part time gig doing pizza delivery. It'll all work out.

It doesn't bother anyone that he's racist? No one remembers this: "I mean, you got the first mainstream African-American who is articulate and bright and clean and a nice-looking guy, I mean, that's a storybook, man." If he was a Republican, his political career would have been over.
