Obvious answer is in between the amount your parents and cousins give them. Or try and remember what your aunts/uncles gave you and round it up (for inflation).

But yeah, the person who said $5k+1 sentiment is right. I'd reciprocate the sister's generosity to you on her child since you couldnt reciprocate to her directly.

Hopefully this isnt the first wedding of the new generational cycle and you can find out some comps. Maybe find out what your sister gave a second cousin/cousin more recently and add something on top of that.
