Keep reporting inappropriate messages. I had a great time. We saw The Real McKenzies at the Black Cat. Great band. Scottish punk rock band from Canada: ![]() |
Thank you, the forum is far more civil today, but I feel bad constantly reporting rude or unnecessarily inflammatory posts. |
Today we have "Why are all Republicans generally undereducated and/or old?" and "Are republicans the party of racists?" and "Why do Conservatives/Republicans hate education and college so much?"
So filled with hatred and generalizations that trying to report everything inappropriate or offense would be a joke. |
"Why are all Republicans generally undereducated and/or old?" is based on a nugget of fact and posters who disagree don't seem to be having trouble making their opposing view known. "Are republicans the party of racists?" was started back in April. It is not not a new thread. Like above, the thread is not entirely without merit. "Why do Conservatives/Republicans hate education and college so much?" -- is also based on a kernel of truth. I'm surprised that you showed no concern "Why do liberals and #blacklivesmatter activists completely ignore black on white/asian violence?" and "Why are Democrats afraid to have people prove who they are in order to vote?" These threads don't lack for hatred and generalizations. |

I'm guessing that one is semi-satire and retribution for all the previous "Why are Republicans allowed to Breathe?" threads. |
What about the dozen or so anti-Ben Carson threads? |
Between new stuff coming out and Carson saying even more stupid stuff, most of those threads are justified. I've actually deleted a number of Ben Carson threads. Plus, nearly ever Ben Carson somehow gets turned in to a Obama thread. So, we really just have a lot of Obama threads now. |
While I am glad to see I am not alone in feeling like the political "discussions" category was not very discussion oriented and seemed to serve as a left-leaning bashfest of any dissenting "read conservative" views..I do appreciate your efforts to clean it up. Although given how quickly this type of environment resurfaces it does make me wonder if it is best to avoid the political category as it really doesn't seem like people want to discuss policies and perspectives on policies...more personal attacks on fellow Americans. |
