PP - and I saw your post about do you need a double oven. I cook a lot and even just for family meals it's great to be able to broil fish in one oven and bake rolls in the other. Or something like that. I have both ovens going at least a few times a week. |
We frequently use our second oven! It's great for entertaining, especially if you have make-your-own pizza parties. We also do it to cook savory dishes in one and desserts in the other. Granted, we don't use the ovens as much in the summer, as it heats up the house too much and I don't want to crank up the AC, but we use them a lot in the fall and winter. |
I like the idea of having double ovens but one smaller one to get rid of the toaster oven. |
My DH (the main cook/baker) uses our double oven on a weekly basis, but he bakes bread and/or desserts weekly, so he puts those in one oven and the actual meal in the other oven.
Other than baking (at the same time as cooking other foods) and multiple pizzas, the only other reason I can think of for a double oven is holidays. Think about your needs. That should be #1 in the renovation. |
