safeway gas points

True, but we always used the safeway gas station anyway so it did not affect us. The one on Nutley in Fairfax has a station. If you are in DC that wouldn't help, though.

Those of us in MD are screwed. I called the 800# yesterday to confirm because I didn't believe DH when he told me. Thankfully my grandmother lives in Vienna so we can use the points we've acrued before they run out in 30 days. I have no reason to continue shopping at Safeway now unless they lower prices to offset the lost has rewards. I'm not a Giant fan either, but I was specifically shopping at Safeway for the gas points.

Do you have the Safeway app?

If you buy something enough times, you get discounts directed at you that the rest of the public doesn't get. In addition, they run sales on things for everyone on a weekly basis.

Southern MD has two Safeway gas stations, one in LaPlata and one in Waldorf/Brandywine.
