When did you hear a heartbeat?

I am the OP of this thread...currently 26 weeks! There shouldn't be a difference between a fresh or a frozen (or if there is, it's minimal). It is checked with a transvagianal ultrasound - the one they use to check for follicle growth. I heard it at 6 weeks 6 days, which was my second appointment. First one, no HB - just the sak and fetal pole at 6 weeks.

Congrats OP!
I am at 5 weeks and 3 days. Went in for an ultrasound today for an unrelated issue and just saw a sac, nothing else. Doctor said this is normal for this time.

I am 25w with an FET pregnancy. We saw the hb at 6w4d. I never actually heard it at the RE's office...just always saw it on the screen!

FET saw the hb at exactly 6w and fresh cycle saw the hb at 6w2d. Both were the first ultrasounds.

Totally agree with doctor. 5 weeks and 3 days would be way too early, but great that they saw the sac. I know how brutal it is to wait, but fingers crossed you see it soon!!! Good luck!

This thread makes me smile! Although I'm done with my journey (twins through 1 IVF cycle) I sometimes read this forum specifically for stories like this.

Since our numbers suggested multiples during bloodwork after our 2ww, our doc wanted me to come in immediately for a sonogram. Didn't hear heartbeats that day (exactly 6 weeks), but saw two strong flashing lights on the screen. When I asked the doc what the flashing lights were he said those were their hearts, then I started to cry. And here we are, 6 years later with 2 rambunctious boys!

Good luck to OP and everyone else hearing and seeing heartbeats!

Congrats OP!

I don't remember the exact number of days, but for my fresh cycle, it was between 5w and 6w. On the early side, and I was prepared not to hear it, but relieve. FWIW, once I started getting sonos, DC always measured big (any where between 1-3 wks) even though we knew his exact date of conception.

SG wouldn't let me come in any earlier than 6w2d (FET) for this very reason. Did see a heart beat! My last pregnancy was IUI and I saw the heart beat at 5w6d.

i didn't hear it until 7 weeks 4 days which is late. My RE told me that he was "concerned" because it took a while to show up. Then my next kid (also FET) did not show up until 7 weeks 3 days. I guess my kids are slow to get going! They are both full of life now.
