I imagine that they have filled any slots for people who were admitted but decline the invitation. And any slots that open up from now until school starts would be from students who accepted but change their mind for some reason. That could happen at any time, I guess. Then, once school begins, my impression from the open house was that they won't fill slots of kids who start the program and then leave. It honestly puts a lot of pressure on parents to accept, even if they have doubts, because the deadline to decide is so quick after the open house. We were admitted and will definitely go, but my son's good friend who was also admitted accepted his slot more reluctantly. So it wouldn't surprise me if they ultimately backed out.
My daughter was on the RM IB wait pool list and never got in. She has friends who did get in from the wait pool at various times, though. I know being in the wait pool sucks!
