In my retail management days, our loss prevention folks taught us that half of theft was employee theft. Out of ten of those employees, 1 or 2 were so honest you couldn't tempt them; 1 or 2 so dishonest you couldn't lock it up enough; and 6 or 8 of the rest would look to the opportunity.
Let's keep looking over their shoulders... |
public school? |
| 99% of your kids are lying/cheating. just so u know. |
| So what, who cares? Churchill is still the best and I'm glad my DD goes there. You know you would all trade places with me to get out of the DCC, or some other school. |
spoken like a true Churchill parent It's the best because cheating is rampant, including taking Adderall to help them focus better, and parents like you turn the other way. So long as your child gets top scores, who cares how they achieve it, right? Because the ends justify the means. Entitlement begets entitlement, apple doesn't fall far from the tree, etc, etc.
We had the chance to move into the Churchill cluster, and chose not to. If you are typical of CHS parents, then I'm soo glad we didn't move there. |
Nope. Signed, Person with two kids in gang-infested schools (defined as MCPS schools not in the wealthy/white clusters) |
I don't know if that's an accurate number, but I agree, many people, including teens, cheat. But it's the attitude in the article that 1/4 of the CHS students feel that it is ok to cheat that's alarming. |
