Has anyone been to San Juan?

We've stayed at the Ritz and La Concha. We're staying at the Reserve next month. But We loved La Concha. Be sure to stay in the suite tower! The nearby Ben & Jerrys is really good for brunch and has a really good restaurant next door. Can't wait to go back.

We stayed one night each in a boutique hotel ( was real nice) when we arrived and befofe leaving. Will look up name. Then drove to Arenal and Monteverde. Some real good accommodations even if you don't do big hotel chains.

Go with the Ritz Carlton, La Concha is run down and the beyach is not near as nice. Bahia Beach resort is even better St Regis property. San Juan as a city is ok I have been to PR 35 times ( marriage) but the west side is more laid back, family oriented. West even has Jet Blue serving directly out of DCA. aguadilla arpt BQN. look up Rincon Beach Resort,, half of a Ritz still a top notch property. THe W hotel on the island of Vieques another option you could search the world and never find a prettier beach than that

^^Agree that the Ritz is very nice but not walkable to anything. We had an awesome time at La Concha. The suite tower is newish and well-outfitted with mini kitchen and table. The beach was uncrowded and wonderful. Maybe pp needs an updated visit? We've been to both within the last 2 years.

We just got back from SJ but stayed at Marriott. WHich was fine with our toddler. I think the vanderbilt just reopened which is supposedly amazing. The beaches aren't great in San Jaun though.
