I do most of these things, but I do have to cook. My husband cooks too, but If it were up to me, there wouldn't be any set meal time.

It's not about limits that anyone is placing on anyone else or themselves. If you are going to be home from work late, for instance, most people would think it courteous to inform your spouse. Same idea if you have to travel, or are going to go out with friends. Most happily married people at least take their spouse's opinions and feelings into consideration when making plans, preparing meals and whatnot.

The unscheduled time. The freedom to try new dining. experiences. Trips on a whim. Sex.

The sex for sure!!! I miss the excitement of a new or really good partner.

Going for a walk and picking up whatever looks good for dinner, after getting off of work, and before going home.

Relaxing in bed with a book or my tablet for a while before turning off the lights. I stay up later than DH, and reading on the couch instead of in bed just isn't the same.

The complete lack of accountability to anyone about how I spend my time off work. I definitely miss the spontaneity of meeting and dating new people, traveling on a whim, having no one to tell me how to spend my money, but the time thing is the biggest.

Poaching bobcats without anyone checking for my whereabouts.

Um, we have kids. Someone has to watch them. Hence, the need to coordinate one's time with one's spouse. Do you have kids?

Aside from the sex with new people thing, obviously.

NP here. My guess is that children (particularly young children) put these restrictions on the persons posting. If you have no kids (or grown kids), I don't see why one wouldn't be able to do these things (sleep in, go out at night, eat what they want, etc.).

Yes exactly. I'm the above PP who posted about missing unstructured time. Before my DD was born, DH and I spent plenty of Saturdays lazing around.

Decorating and maintaining my home and personal space exactly the way I want it. I honestly don't miss anything else.

Being able to clean my house and it stays clean! As part of that, being able to get rid of clutter -- DH is a bit of a hoarder but we've managed to agree on limiting most of his "priceless treasures" to his office.

I could not agree with this more. I miss being able to lay in bed and watch what I want before I go to sleep. Eating cereal for dinner if I want to without complaints about what "we're" eating. Taking a shower without getting puppy dog eyes about wanting to come in there with me. I'm a light sleeper, so sprawling out in my bed without getting woken during the night would be nice.

Mostly, just doing whatever I want and feel like without feeling guilty about it.
