Appropriate Easter Sunday Clothing

I doubt Jesus cares. He wasn't interested in such petty things. I'm not sure you're absorbing the messages of the day.

So did you stop going to movies, sporting events, restaurants etc. too?

People who make statements like you did always amuse me because you have essentially done what you wanted to and attempt to justify your decision. Just take responsibility and be done with it.

BTW...a see through blouse isn't appropriate attire in many places and church is one of them.

Yes to this.

LP is not a cheap brand. Maybe the woman in question wore them because she thinks expensive = dressy. It doesn't, but last time I checked churches don't publish dress codes. A lot of people at my church were wearing jeans, suits, dresses... all types of outfits. Didn't bother me one way or the other.

the clothes you mention wouldn't bother me either but a see through blouse would.

Fine line here. You should dress in a dignified and respectful manner. Short shorts are inappropriate. Certainly she's not a homeless woman who has wandered in to church wearing the only clothes she owns...short shorts and a lily Pulitzer top?

Right. Context is important. We can do better, can't we?

Not classy, maybe just a tad higher on degree of classless but still the same category.

But my comment wasn't only about what they were wearing. Based on what I know about them...and I don't watch the show...I was surprised they went. Was the show cameras following them?

Why would Kanye West have respect for anything related to God?

I don't get this. Nobody expects others to act Christian in a movie theater. But they expect it in a church.

A Christian shouldn't just exhibit their values and beliefs and practice their faith while at church.
